Danville, IN – Congressman Todd Rokita (R-IN) claimed victory in Tuesday’s General Election. Rokita, who serves as Vice Chairman of the House Budget Committee and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education defeated both his Democrat and Libertarian opponents with 65% of the vote.

Rokita released the following statement regarding his election victory.

“I am humbled and honored by the continued support of so many voters in the Fourth Congressional District.  The highest honor of my life has been serving and fighting for all Hoosiers so they can build better lives for themselves and their families.  I will continue to represent all Hoosiers in my district, whether they voted for me or not. I will also continue to bring Hoosier reforms to Washington D.C., focusing on fixing America’s debt crisis through common-sense changes to all parts of the federal government.

“This victory is largely due to the outstanding staff, volunteers, and over 5000 donors who make up Team Rokita.  We have so many friends across the state who have volunteered for the cause, and that it is very humbling.  We have been in all 16 counties during this campaign and have been reaching out to Hoosier voters for the entire Republican ticket.  Members of Team Rokita are some of the hardest working people in the nation and I am honored to have them on our team.”

Congressman Rokita has served in Congress since 2011 after serving for two terms as Indiana’s Secretary of State.  Indiana’s Fourth Congressional District includes all or parts of 16 counties stretching from Morgan County to Newton County. For more information please go to
